Current mood: hot

17 is a good number
It's supposed to be sunny at 17C today. This is a good thing.

Right now, though, it's about 100F degrees in my apartment since the sun is blaring in. I'm not complaining, I love it, but it's hard to be inside wearing my 17C degree clothing when I would be more comfortable in shorts.

I hear ya. This past weekend was the first full weekend I spent in my new place, so the first sunlight hours I spent in the place. With a southern exposure, the front half is super super hot, and it was only 16 degrees out!

Once I get my office set up, I can go back there to cool off. The back part (the north part) of the apartment stays pretty cool.

In the winter you'll be saving on heating bills while you are basking in the weekend sunlight on the sunny days. Southern exposure is a wonderful thing for those of us who hate to be cold.

It's nice that you have a room to go to when you find it too warm in the south end of your place, though.

I agree that Southern exposure is fab in the winter. Here we deliberately choose an East-West facing house because we didn't want to get a lot of sunlight in the backyard, but now that it's winter, I notice it is really freakin' cold in here! I miss the sun!

Did it really get to 17 today?

Doh! That was me above. [info]sirmonkeypants and I have just moved to both using the same computer for LiveJournal -- I used to have my own laptop and I left myself logged in all the time, so I'm not used to coming to LJ and finding I am not logged in, or logged in as someone else.

Being a one-computer family now is like being a one-car family in the suburbs -- a major handicap!

I saw that it got to 20C on the Reuters board in downtown TO. To me it felt like only about 16, but it was also windy downtown. It was a lovely day.
